Welcome Colleague!
I am excited to offer licensure supervision to fellow professionals who are beginning the important work of supporting our Austin neighbors.
It is an amazing professional and personal journey to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, and one which I would suggest is really the just the beginning of a life-long exploration. As a Board approved supervisor in the State of Texas, I offer clinical supervision for LPC Associates working toward obtaining the 3,000 hours required to become a fully licensed LPC.
Supervision Orientation
I support those I supervise with a strong alliance, broad clinical knowledge and experience, and a passion for the process of learning and self-growth. Goodness of fit is one of the most critical pieces to a successful partnership. As the Client-Directed, Outcomes-Informed model influences my work with clients, it also shapes my belief about supervision. The alliance is the critical factor in facilitating the space for growth and development to occur and is the heart of the therapeutic and supervision relationship.
If you would like to discuss undertaking supervision with me, feel free to get in touch so we can talk about specifics. However, in general, you can expect the following from me as your supervisor:
- Weekly supervision either individually or in a group setting
- Availability for consultation on crisis or time-sensitive matters
- Feedback on counseling strategies, techniques, interventions and ethics
- Review of documentation and case notes as appropriate
- Support in the development of your personal style, orientation and professional identity
Associate Orientation
My current and past Associates have come from a variety of backgrounds and theoretical preferences including Cognitive-Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused, Adlerian, Client-Directed/Outcomes Informed, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Harm Reduction, Mindfulness and others. Working with emerging clinicians from different backgrounds allows me to bring a variety of perspectives to our work and provides a rich professional network for those joining the field.
